This is a photogragh of George William Payne, born - 15 Dec 1855 in "(unknown) 

Alabama" and died 09 Mar 1943. He and his wife Sarah E. (Waters) Payne are 

buried in the Loretto Cemetery, Loretto, Lawrence Co., TN..

In this photo, George appears quite old. Since his death occurred in 1943, I 

can only speculate the photo was taken in the early 1940's.

Additional Comments:
Genealogically, I haven't been able to get (back) past George due to lack of 

records on him, place of birth, etc..

Even on his and Sarah's death certificates, the location of their births and 

their Parents names are not found.
