Bond
to Govornor
Know all men that we Peter Brashers and Basil Brashers of the County of 
Lawrence & State of Tennessee are held and firmly bound unto the Govornor of 
said State in the time being in the sum of $1250 to be paid to his Excellence 
his Successors to office or assigns to which payment well and truly to be 
made we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators and each and 
every of us and them Jointly and Severally by these presents Witness my hand 
and Seal this 9th day of Feby 1830.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas Peter Brashers 
hath prayed and obtained licenice to marry Biey/Bicy Brasheer now if the said 
Biey/Bicy be an actual resident of the aforesaid County and there shall not 
appear any lawful cause why the said Peter & Biey/Bicy should not be Joined 
together in holy matrimony as husband and wife then this obligation to be 
void and of no effect otherwise full force and virtue
