This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Wanda Wright Diomedes ==================================================================== As per Wanda Wright Diomedes for the Wright family of Boonshill in Lincoln County Tennesse. The Cemetery at Boonshill Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lincoln County Tennessee off hwy 64 in Boonshill Community on old Boonshill Road. I would like to also add that an article pertaining to this particular church was written for history and the article was entitled "Boonshill Community" which states that the community was first known as Big Spring. The first known settlement of Boonshill was made by my great great grandfather Jacob Wright while this area was still a part of Williamson county Tennessee. Among early family settlers were: Buchanan, Cathey, Clark, Cliff, Dobbins, Holman, Keith, Mcafee, McDaniel, McKinney, Russell, Sumners, Swinebroad, Wells, White, Wilson and Wood to name a few. Boonshill nestles among scenic hills and valleys in northwestern Lincoln County, Tennessee just off of Highway 64. I walked the cemetery at Boonshill Cumberland Presbyterian Church on July 4th 2002 and took notes and photos of the following graves: 1)Jas. H. Wright 5/16/1857 - 10/12/1934 Per my information This particular Jas. H. is James Henderson Wright who was the son of Francis Marion Wright and Lucinda V. Whittington Wright. Although Francis and Lucinda Wright were buried in Wright Cemetery just down the road a bit. Some of their children and family were buried in Boonshill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. 2)Dixie Clark Wright 11/9/1872 - 4/1/1947 Dixie was the wife of Jas. H. Wright (James Henderson Wright) 3)Andrew Francis Wright 4/15/1911 - 9/13/1986 Andrew was the son of James Henderson and Dixie Clark Wright. 4)Kate Caldwell Wright 1/6/1893 - 6/4/1933 Kate was the wife of Marvin H. Wright Sr. son of James and Dixie. 5) Marvin H. Wright Jr. 11/13/1925 - 11-16-1925 Son of Kate and Marvin H. Wright Sr. who died after 3 days of birth. Grandson of James Henderson and Dixie Wright. 6)Marion A. Wright 1894 - 1940 Son of James Henderson and Dixie Wright 7) Ozella Evans Wright 1897 - 1980 Wife of Marion A. Wright 8)Nancy Lucinda Wright 10/10/1892 - 10/23/1984 Nancy was the daughter of James Henderson and Dixie Wright family has it that she never married and she was the family matriach. 9)Sally Hughey Wright 3/22/1878 - 3/3/1962 I am not sure at this time who she is married to but I have seen the Hughey name in my notes. There were several other graves I was unable to take down notes and photo's of this trip but there was many other names. Even though this is a considerably small gravesite there were many graves. Some were very old and unreadable. Some dated as far back as mid 1800's. The info I have given below the tombstone inscriptions is what I have regarding these individuals or what someone directly related has shared with me. I am the great great neice of some and cousins to others.
