There is granted the said state of Tennessee unto, James Coats assignee of the Said Robert Stothart. A certain tract of parcel of land containing five acres by survey being dated the first day of January 1813 lying in Lincoln County in the second District on the water of Coffees Creek (could be Coffers Creek) of Elk River an the branch above Edward Powers and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a buck the south east corner of Edward Powers 20 acres and running north thirty poles to a buck and hickory thence east twenty six and six tenth poles to a white oak and hickory thence south thirty poles to a buck and sugar tree thence west twenty six and six tenth poles to the beginning.
