All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/tn/tnfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jean Anderson andenola@swbell.net January 11, 2009, 5:25 pm Written: December 23, 1825 Recorded: February 15, 1826 John Young to Deed One Hundred Acres John Emmerson This indenture made and entered unto this twenty third day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Twenty Five between JOHN YOUNG of the County of Lincoln and State of Tennessee of the one part and JOHN EMMERSON of said State and County of Franklin of the other part Witnesseth that the said JOHN YOUNG for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by said JOHN EMMERSON at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the right whereof is hereby acknowledge haith and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said JOHN EMMERSON his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate in the said county of Lincoln lying on the barron fork of Flint River and is bounded as follows ( to west, beginning at beech and sweet gum on the west bank of said Flint River the same being northeast corner of the land sold to Larkin Stewart by William P. Anderson, running from thence east with the original line of the survey of which this is a part, one hundred and twenty six poles to a hickory and a black oak thence south one hundred and twenty three poles to two white oaks, thence thence (sic) west to the west bank of the main currant of said Flint River thence up the west bank of the said Larkin Stewart land to the beginning corner containing one hundred acres be the same more or less and is a part of a tract entered the name of the Davises of George Doherty for one thousand acres. To have and to hold the before righted tract of land and bargained promises together with all and singular the rights profits hereditaments and appertainances is there unto belonging or in any were appertainances to the only proper use benefit and behalf of him the said JOHN EMMERSON his heirs and assigns forever and the said JOHN YOUNG for himself his heirs and executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to and with said JOHN EMMERSON his heirs and assigns that before righted tract of land and bargained promises with the appertainances from the lawful claim or claims of all and every person or person whatever will Warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witnesseth whereof the said JOHN YOUNG has hereunto set his name and has affixed his seal the day and year above written.
