Butler

Prayer services for Walter Butler, 58, who died at his home Sunday at 12:00

p.m., after several months illness, were conducted Monday at 9:30 a.m., at

the Beasley Funeral Home, by Eld. James Sanders, after which the body was

shipped to Clarendon, Texas, his former home.

About nine months ago he came to Petersburg and purchased the Hugh Moore

farm. He was born in this county but went to Texas when a small boy and

lived there until recently. He is survived by his wife, one daughter and

two sons. Services and burial will take place in Clarendon Wednesday.
