Dyer

Funeral services for Aunt Jane Dyer, aged 107, who was burned to death

Friday night, when her home near Cyruston was destroyed by fire, were held

Sunday.

Aunt Jane, an ex-slave, was the oldest person in Lincoln County. She and

her husband, Amos Dyer, slaves of William Dyer, of near Petersburg, were

married before they were freed.
