F. Gill, aged 68 years, died Thursday morning at his home at Petersburg after a lingering illness. For several months Mr. Gill had suffered and was compelled to remain in his room and much of the time in bed, and for two or three days prior to his death was seriously ill. Mr. Gill was one of the best citizens in this section of the state and was, in former years a strong factor in all civic movements for good. He was a banker during the most active years of his life, being connected in various capacities with the First National Bank of Petersburg. He was a consistent member of the Methodist Church. At the time the Herald goes to press it is announced that the funeral will take place at the home at 1:30 Friday, followed by interment in the Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Gill is survived by a sister, Mrs. George R. Gillespie, and two sons and one daughter, Mr. W. W. Gill, of this city, Mr. Jo J.
