D. Hanaway, who died at a Nashville hospital Friday, at 2:00 p.m., after several weeks of illness, were held Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., at the home by Rev. S. O. McAdoo, assisted by the Rev. M. K. Harwell. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the daughter of the late Alex and Mollie Dixon Lancaster, and was born and reared near here. She will be missed. She was kind, thoughtful and always helping those who were less fortunate than she. She always grew lovely flowers, which she shared with others. Surviving are her husband; one sister, Mrs. Florence Morton, of Gadsden; step-daughter, Mrs. Jim Morton, of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews. Burial at Old Orchard Cemetery.
