Humbles

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Luna Humbles, aged 68 years, widow of Jim

Humbles, who died Monday afternoon at the home of a daughter near

Petersburg, after a brief illness, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the

Cane Creek Church of Christ by Eld. J. W. Sanders.

Mrs. Humbles, daughter of the late William and Lizzie Talley Luna, had

lived her entire life in that community and for many years was a member of

the Church of Christ.

She is survived by six daughters: Mesdames Bertie Milton, Janie Polly,

J. T. Stovall, Tom Bacon, Elizabeth Loyd Luna and Wilma Ayers; one son,

Buddy Humbles; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
