He was secretary of the Independent Service Station Association of Miami, and a member of the Coral Way Presbyterian Church. Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Ruby Jones Land; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Roberts and Mrs. F. B. Tippins, Jr., all of Miami; one son, Captain P. B. Land, Jr., Army Air Corps; two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Marsh and Miss Eva Land, of Petersburg; one brother, John B. Land, of Detroit; and five grandchildren. Services were at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, in Tracy Funeral Chapel, Rev. Alexander Linn officiating, with burial in Woodlawn Park, - [Miami Daily News] Patterson Biddle Land, Sr., was the son of the late John Thomas and Mary Frances King Land and was born and reared at Petersburg and has many friends here who will lament his passing.
