Marsh, aged 62 years, widely known physician and World War I veteran, who died at his home Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m., after a lengthy illness, were held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ, by Prof. L. I. Mills, of Shelbyville, and Eld. Ben Harding of Spring Hill and Paul Edwards of Petersburg. The American Legion was in charge. J. W. Steagall, of the Veterans Administration, State Adjutant Guy May and Guy Frye represented the Legion from Nashville. Dr. Marsh was a graduate of the University of Nashville Medical School. He took over the practice of his grandfather, the late John Cowden. He was the son of the late John D. and Viola Cowden Marsh, and a nephew of the late Charles N. Cowden of Nashville. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Sorrells Marsh, four sisters, Miss Maybelle Marsh and Mrs. Clifford Archer, of Petersburg, Mrs. Everett Beasley, and Mrs. Roy Holland, of Nashville, two brothers; Earl Marsh, of Petersburg, and George Everett Marsh, of Nashville, eight nieces and nephews, several cousins and a host of friends. Burial in Old Orchard Cemetery.
