P. Marsh, aged 50 years, vice-president of the first National Bank of Petersburg, and a merchant, died at a Nashville Hospital last Sunday after a three-day illness following an operation. Mr. Marsh was the son of the late W. H. Marsh and Mrs. Lizzie Butler Marsh, who survives. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a Mason. He was a member of the firm of W. H. Marsh and Co., succeeding his father in that business. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the residence, conducted by Rev. J. B. Alexander, Rev. W. E. Cowser, Eld. Jim Sanders and Rev. Grady Wall. He is survived by his mother; wife, Mrs. Dixie Marsh; two daughters Marian and Dixie Ann Marsh; two sons, William and Allen Marsh; two brothers, Dr. Fred Marsh of Chattanooga, and H. B. Marsh, of Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. Will Beasley, of Nashville; two aunts, Mrs. Marion Greer and Mrs. Maggie Green of Petersburg. Burial was at Petersburg Cemetery.
