McRady

Hugh McRady, 32, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C.

McRady, in Petersburg, on High Street, at 1:00 a.m. this morning

[Thursday], following a paralytic stroke suffered Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.,

while on duty at the McRady-Muse Drug Store, with which he had been

associated for two years.

He was a popular young business man and his untimely passing been the

occasion of much grief. He received his education at Morgan School and

Georgia Tech in Atlanta, having graduated from the department of Civil

Engineering. He followed the profession in which he specialized until

succeeding his father in the drug business.

He was endeared to many friends both in prep school and college. At the

meeting of Morgan alumni Saturday evening he was reelected to the office of

secretary, which he has held for two years.

Funeral services will be held at the Petersburg Church of Christ, of which

he was a member, Friday at 3:00 p.m., by Eld. B. F. Hart and Prof. L. I.

Mills.

Mr. McRady is survived by his parents, two sisters, Mrs. J. D. Sugg, of

Coldwater, and Mrs. Marshall Talley, of Petersburg, and one brother, Dr.

J. V. McRady.

Burial will be in Old Orchard Cemetery.
