Lincoln County News - November 14, 1940
Moore

G. W. Moore, aged 84 years, 4 months and 4 days, died at his home in

Petersburg at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 12. Mr. Moore had been a

faithful member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church since his youth.

Funeral services were conducted at the C. P. Church in Petersburg Wednesday

at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Walter Crawford and Rev. H. J. Burroughs.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. George W. Marsh, of

Fayetteville; and the following sons: R. R. Moore, of Troy, Ill.; O. E.

Moore, of Shelbyville; J. B. Moore, of Petersburg; W. B. Moore, of

McMinnville; also one sister, Mrs. Ellen Moore Wells and seventeen

grand-children and twelve great-grandchildren survive him.

Burial was in Old Orchard Cemetery.
