He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mayme Scott Pylant; two daughters Misses Melba and Elizabeth Pylant, of Akron; four sisters, Mrs. Evalena Douthit and Mrs. Jim Renfro, of Akron; Mrs. Walter Morrison and Mrs. Mattie Crane, of Columbia; and one brother, Eugene Pylant, of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews of Petersburg. Funeral and burial took place in Akron Friday.
