Scott

Funeral services for Fred Scott, aged 33 years, who died Tuesday night,

July 4, at the Vanderbilt Hospital, after a illness of complications, were

held Thursday at 10:00 a.m., at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church by Rev.

Vaughn Fults.

He is survived by a daughter, Ann, of Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. Fred Dwig

gins, of Petersburg; two brothers, Felix Benton, of Nashville and Joe Loyd,

of Petersburg; a stepmother, Mrs. Golie Scott; four half-sisters, Mrs.

Vernon Easterly, of Shelbyville; Mrs. Charlie Carney, Jr., of Dyersburg;

Opal Scott, of Memphis; and Virginia Scott, of Chattanooga; two

half-brothers, Billy Scott, of Petersburg and Hugh Scott, of Memphis.

Burial was held at Old Orchard Cemetery.
