Sherwood, who died at the Lincoln County Hospital Sunday, were held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Monday afternoon, by Prof. R. K. Morgan. Son of the late Callie Bradford and Walker Sherwood, Mr. Sherwood had spent most of his life in this community and for a number of years was Petersburg's efficient postmaster. He was a man of high ideals and has many friends who regret his passing. Survivors are a son, Jim Sherwood, of Fayetteville, with whom he resided; a grandson, Bobby Sherwood; a brother, Henry Sherwood, of Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. Arbie Brown, of near Fayetteville. Burial at Old Orchard Cemetery.
