Statem

Funeral services for Miss Letitia Statem, aged 78 years, who died at her

home early Sunday morning after a lengthy illness of complications, were

held at 10:00 a.m., Monday at the funeral home by Rev. T. E. Nelson.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Statem. She was born

and reared in Bedford County, but had made her home here for the past

thirty-five years.

She is survived by two nieces of Akron, Ohio; four nephews, Charles, Claude

and Robert Statem, of Texas.
