Lincoln County News - November 7, 1940
Troop

Funeral services for W. L. Troop, aged 65 years, who died at the home of

his daughter, Mrs. Allen Shaddy, Thursday night, after a lengthy illness of

complications, were held at the Church of Christ, Friday at 2:30 p.m., by

Eld. B. F. Hart.

He was born and reared here. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine

Foster Troop; one daughter, Mrs. Allen Shaddy; one son, Joe Troop, of

Murfreesboro; one brother, C. H. Troop; one half-sister, Mrs. T. B. Bryant,

and two grandchildren.

Burial in Old Orchard Cemetery.
