CEMETERY Madison County, Tennessee Bascom Chapel C.M.E. church and cemetery are located on John Smith Road northwest of Jackson, Tennessee. Bascom Chapel was organized July 29, 1872. The cemetery is kept mown. The unmarked graves outnumber marker graves. David Donahue recorded this cemetery on October 1, 2003 based on earlier work by Jonathan K. T. Smith.
