Russell and Mary Teague Registered Nov. 21, 1877 Madison County Deed Book 35, page 241 Know all men by these presents that for and in consideration of One Half interest in a certain Town lot in the City of Jackson, Madison County Tennessee, this day conveyed to us by Jesse Russell Jr. Sarah T. Russell Wife of said Jesse Russell Jr. and Mary Teague; We W. K. Walsh and B. R. Harris of said County and State, have this day bargained and sold, and do hereby transfer and convey unto Sarah T Russell wife of the said Jesse Russell Jr. two thirds, and unto Mary Teague One third undivided, in and to the following described Town Lot, situate lying, and being in the said City of Jackson in said County and State. Beginning at a stake, the North west corner of Mark Dodd's Lot on the East line of Stoddert Street; runs North with said Street, Sixty five feet, four inches to a stake thence East, One Hundred and four feet, eight inches to O' Connor's west line; thence South Sixty five feet four inches to said Dodd's North East corner; Thence West One Hundred and four feet Eleven inches to the beginning, it being the same Lot that John K. Freeman conveyed to us on the 31st of October 1874. To have and to hold the two thirds interest undivided to the Sarah T. Russell her Heirs and Assigns forever, free from the debts, contracts or contract of her said Husband, or any future Husband she may have, with power of disposition as prescribed by Said for conveyance by Terms coverts, and of disposition by will Executed as aforesaid and provided by law for the device of Real Estate as if she was a feme sole; and to Mary Teague the one third interest undivided her heirs and assigns forever. We covenant with the said Sarah T. Russell and Mary Teague that we are lawfully seized of said Town Lots with the improvements thereon, that we have a good right to convey, and that the same is unencumbered, and that we will forever warrant and defend the title to the said Teague and Russell against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Barnett Clerk of the County Court of said County the bargainers to the attached instrument W. K. Walsh and B. R. Harris with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that they executed said instrument for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at Office this 30 day of October 1877 J. D.
