Written: April 26, 1853
Recorded: August 10, 1853

 “A. White to Hiram Anthony, deed, August 10, 1853, registered. This indenture 

made and entered into this 26th day of April in the year our Lord 1853, between 

Archelaus White of the state of Tennessee and Madison County of the first part, 

and Hiram Anthony of the state and county aforesaid of the other part. 

Witnesseth, that Archelaus White hath conveyed… unto Hiram Anthony…a certain 

tract of land being in the County of Madison in District No. 10, bounded as 

follows:”



	“Beginning at a stake in the center of Hunt’s Road in George Hick’s 

line running thence south with said Hick’s line, thence east 11 chains and 93 

links to a frost oak, Hick’s corner, thence south with said Hick’s line, thence 

east with T.? M. Davies line 13 chains and 33 links to a small hickory corner 

with two red oaks for pointers, thence north 44 chains and 20 links to a stake 

in the center of Hunt’s Road, thence with the center of said road south 88 

degrees west 25 chains and 16 links, to the beginning, containing 101 acres, 

more or less…”
