E. Scarborough Rites Set Friday Funeral services for W. E. Scarborough, 71, who died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon at his barber shop on West College Street, will be held at the Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Born in Memphis [Mifflin] on Sept. 30, 1878, Mr. Scarborough worked as a barber in Trenton for 30 years before coming to Jackson 11 years ago. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. He leaves his wife; two sons, Lawrence Scarborough, Jackson, and Charles D. Scarborough, Birmingham, Ala.; three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Kate Ellis, Baton Rouge, La., Mrs. Mary Miller Snyder, Gulfport, Miss., and Mrs. Lucille Stobaugh, Chattanooga; one brother, Harmon Scarborough, Dyer; and two sisters, Mrs. Leona Stedman, Jackson, and Mrs. Ora Robinson, Los Angeles, Calif. The body will be at Griffin Funeral Home until the hour for services. Pallbearers will be J. B. Varnell, E. J. Lane, Red Bennett, Clarence Rushing, C. C. Long and T. L. McCutchen and they are asked to meet at the Griffin Funeral Home at 9:45 o'clock.
