She is believed to have died from an accidental overdose of laudinum used to ease complications of childbirth. County records show that John Thomas BAKER died in Uptonville, Madison Co., TN of typhoid fever. The burial place of his second wife, Fannie STARKEY BAKER is currently unknown.
