Ht was born in 1755. He enlisted while living in Mechlenburg County, North Carolina, under Colonel Little and Captain Moort. In 1825 he had two children, Alfred Cameron Burke, aged sixteen years and Keziah Burke aged fourteen years. Note: In 1835 when he was eighty years of agt he married a second wife.
