He was born May 24, 1863, in Richmond County, Va. His father died in Halifax County, Va., about 1803. William had a brother, John Everett, who lived in Caswell County, N. C. A few years after the Revolution, William Everett moved to Bedford County, Va. After four years he moved to Caswell County, N. C. , he then moved to Hawkins County, N. C., now Tennessee and lived their eighteen years. He moved to Knox County, Tenn., and lived there fifteen years. He moved to Marion County, eighteen months before he applied for pension. His widow's name is not given and a son, Duissett (?) applied Nov., 27, 1838, for final payment on his father's pension.
