He was born 1750. He enlisted in Guilford County, N. C., in 1777, and again, the second enlistment being under Capt. William Armstrong. He was in the battles of Guilford Court House, Briar Creek, Stone River, Gates Defeat and Eutaw Springs. He was given a land warrant by the State of North Carolina.
