JAMES JONES

    James Jones applied for revolutionary pension while living in Marion County,

Aug. 22, 1852. He was then 77 years old and therefore born in 1755. He enlisted

in 1776 or 1777 with Peter Horry and was attached to Capt. Snipe's company,

South Carolina Line. He served in the battles of Camden and Eutaw Springs.
