This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Karen Combs ==================================================================== Will of William FINLEY Marshall County Will Book A The last Will and Testament of William FINLEY of Marshall County Tennessee I William FINLEY considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following - First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah all of my Lands lying and being situated in Marshall County Tennessee during her life or Widowhood; and Secondly I will that my Daughter Lusinda Ann have her support off of my Lands so long as she remainds single or as long as my wife Sarah Lives or remains single - Thirdly I will that at the death of my wife or at the time of her marriage, that the Land be sold and the mony divided equally among my Children Tilman B. Loucinda Ann, William S. John E and Jackson C. FINLEY - I will and bequeath to omy son John E. My Grey Mare and Yeerling Filley, I will and bequeath unto my Daughter Lousinda Ann the Coult that the grey mare now has when it is weaned to be her property Sixthly I will and bequeath to my son Jackson C my stable horse to be his property Sevently - I will and bequeath my sorrel horse unto my wife Sarah to be her property - I further will and bequeath unto my son John E all the hogs that are in his mark to be his property also such part of the hogs that are in the mark of my son Jackson C I will and bequeath to be his property Also my rifle Gun I will and bequeath that she be sold to the highest bidder and the mony be divided between my sons John E. and Jackson C I will and bequeath unto my wife my Spotted Heifer to be her property I also will and bequeath that my wife Sarah and my daughter Lucinda Ann have one years support out of the Standing Crop and the balance of the crop be divided between my sons John E and Jackson C my sheep I will and bequeath to my wife Sarah and Daughter Lousinda Ann I will and bequeath to my wife Sarah all the household and kitchen furniture during her lifetime or widowhood I will at her death or time of marriage that the household and kitchen funiture be sold and equally divided among the aforesaid children I further will and bequeath that the remainder of my hogs cattle farming Utencials good and chattels of what soever kind be sold to the highest bidder and that all my just debts be paid from the proceeds of the same and that my son Tilman B and William S be given fifteen Dollars each out of the proceeds of the above named Goods and the remainder of the property be equally divided between my Children Tilman B Lousinda Ann William S John E Jackson C and Lastly I will that the money arising from my share of Bacon be appropriated to the payment of my Just debts and the remainder be equally divided among the above named heirs, I hereby appoint my son William S. Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 16th day of June in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and forty eight. FINLEY on the 3rd day of July 1848 and A. A.
