This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Karen Combs ==================================================================== Will of Archibald McCONNEL Marshall County Will Book A pg 191 State of Tennessee, Marshall County, In the name of God I Archibald McCONNEL of the State and County aforesaid being of sound mind and in my proper senses knowing that it is appointed for all men to die and after that to Judgment and being desirous of settling all my Worldly affairs and disposing of my world goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with - 1st I recommend my soul to God and my body to the dust whence it came - 2nd In the this my lasst will and testament it is my desire that all my just debts be paid out of my estate after funeral Expenses be paid - 3rd for the Good will and effection which I bear towards my loving wife Elizabeth m. McCONNEL I give and bequeath to her all of my Estate both real and personal during her natural life for her own proper use and benefit for her support and it is my will and desire that my Executors make sale of my surplus property from time to time such as can be spared for the purpose of paying debts and schooling my children I do wiil that when any of my children comes of age or marries that they shall have one Horse Bridle and saddle Cow and Calf & a bed and furniture Equally to what my son Willis H. McCONNEL has had. 4th My Executors is at Liberty to Loan such of my negroes as Can be spared out of the family to such of my children as may have families for such term of times as they may think proper or is well used during my wifes lifetime then all of my negroes to be equally divided amongst, my heirs with the balance of my Estate both personal Real 5th Now be it understood that those of my Heirs that does not receive their Horse Bridle & Saddle Cow & Calf Bed and furniture before Destibution they shall have Eigthy Dollars or the Equivilent in lien thereof - 6th And lastly I do ordain and appoint Elizabeth M. McCONNEL and Willis H. McCONNEL my true and Lawful Executrix and Executor Also I ordain and appoint James Carroll McCONNEL to succed his Mother as Ececutor after her death to assist his Brother W. H.
