TN Will Bk D p 201 State of Tennessee Marshall County I John Ramsey do make and publish this my last Will and testament revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made. First, I direct that my funeral expenses and all of my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any moneys that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executors. Second, I give and bequeath to my dear wife Sarah A. Ramsey all of my lands and town property to use as she may deem best during her lifetime also all house furniture, except the following article "to wit" To my dear daughter Sarah L. Ramsey I give and bequeath the Melodian and Sewing Machine and the Choice Bureau. I also bequeath to her One Hundred dollars in Cash above all others. I also give all books not belonging to my wif to my children to be divided amongst them. I give and bequeath to my wife Sarah A. Ramsey all the stock that I now possess. I give and bequeath to my son Thomas D. Ramsey One Secretary & Book Case. I want him also to have my interest in one store at whatever he may think it worth. The money for which I wish equally divided between my wife and children except enough to pay taxes on the property and buy provisions for the family. And lastly, I do hereby appoint my sons T D Ramsey and J B Ramsey my Executors and I desire tham not to be required to give security.
