Will of Fredrick TAYLOR
Marshall County Will Book A pg 67

In the name of God amen.  I Frederick Taylor of the county Marshall and state 
of Tennessee being of sound mind and perfect memory and calling to mind the 
certainty of death do this the 28th dy of February Eighteen hundred and forty 
one make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as 
follows.  Item 1st. My will and Desire after my death that my Executor sell on 
a resonable credit all the property that I may leave with the exception of 
such household furniture as my Wife may want and the funds arising there from 
together with all other money which I leave on hand or owing to & secondly to 
the maintainance of my wife Francis Taylor during her natural life.  Item 2nd.  
I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Friffes one fourth of what may be 
left at the death of my wife.  3. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Martha 
Dennis one fourth.  4. I give and bequeath to my grandchildren Martha Dowdy, 
James Dowdy, Mandy Dowdy, Haywood Dowdy and Frederick Dowdy the other fourth 
to be eaqually divided between them I do hereby nominate and appoint my son 
Frederick Taylor Executor to this my last will and testament as witness where 
of I have hereunto set my hand & seal.

State of Tennessee Marshall County.  County Court Jan term 1843
Personally appeaered in open court Leonard Bullock a subscribing withess to 
the foregoing will who being first sworn to answer questions deposed and said 
that he was acquainted with Frederick Taylor, whose signature to the within 
will and that he signed sealed & acknowledged the same in his presence upon 
the day it bears date and that he was of sound mind and disposing memory & 
that he requested him to subscribe his name as a witness, It is therefore 
ordered by the court that said will be admitted to probate.
