Murphy, 9/12/2000] 143 Monday, October 21st 1822 6 Jury of View Jas Baldridge, Lothers[?]-Rescended Ordered that James Baldridge, Alexander Baldridge, Michael Steele, Thad M. Stone, Edward Puckett Senr, William D. Steele, Richard Fausceth or any five of them be appointed as Jury of View to view, mark and lay out a road to begin on the Shelbyville road near Loves Mill to run the best way in a direction up Silver Creek to come into the sd Shelbyville some where near Leepers Mill ed. Bedford County to go in such a direction as far as the Maury County line and make report to our ensuing County Court. 7 A. Hamon Lothers[?] Jury of View return We the within appointed Jurors being summoned & agreeable to the arther[?] order commenced the duty aSsigned us at the end of the Straight leading from the mouth of Solomon Herring's Lane following marked trees croSsing fence branch just above the form belonging to the heirs of Major Saunders Deceased thence one line of marked trees to the corners of said Sanders[sic] & Colo. James T. Sandford thence on a line marked so as to Intersect the line of the Jug Tavern tract at a part where Ar[?] Chairs fence will stacke the same thence with sd line paSsing the plantation of said Chairs then leaving sd line turning eastwardly untill intersecting the line between Nathl Chairs and Abram Hamon running through the corner of Hamon east into sd Hamons lane thence into the Davis's ford road at sd Hamons house, October 15th 1822. Hamon be appointed aversion of the publick road from the creek to the mouth of Abram Hamon lane and that the following hands vis Jacob Rogers, Ezekiel Akin, Isaac Ford, John Dobbins, Borevell[?] Akins, Joseph Rhoads, Andrew Mills, William Caldwell, William Allen, Newton Rhoads, Abram Rhoads, John Hilorease[?], James Huey, Wiley Seall, James Mills, Edward Robertson, John Baugus, David Underwood, Hampton N. Turner, Thomas Young, Solomon Bunch, William Rogers, Widore Mcaens[?], Thomas Smith, Solomon Herring, Wm. Langford, William Land, Wm. Loves, Green Hill, James P. Sandford Sr, Dodson Perkins, hands at the Jugg Tavern, Wm. Hamon, Murphy Adle, Wm. Biggs to aSsent in opening the road and after the new road is opened all the hands on the South of Rother fords creek to work under Burwell Akin and all on the North Side of the creek to continue to work under Wm. W. Hamons and it shall be the duty of Hamon to notify Burwell Akins when he will commence opening said road and Akins shall warn his hands and work with them under the direction of Hamons till the road is opened. 9 Agreeable to an order of Court to us directed at July Yarm[?] 1822 we the undersigned do hereby certify that we have met accordingly.
