Maury County, TN Deed Book H, page 311:
Written: October 19, 1819
Recorded: March 17, 1820

 “William Daniel, 13 ˝ acres, conveyed by PHILIP ANTHONY, registered the 17th 

March, 1820. This indenture made this 19th day of October in the year of our 

Lord 1819 between PHILIP ANTHONY of the county of Maury and state of Tennessee 

of the one part, and William Daniel of the county and state aforesaid of the 

other part. Witnesseth that the said PHILIP ANTHONY, for and in consideration 

of the sum of $120 to him in hand paid…”



	“On the east side of Fountain Creek, and beginning as follows: 

Beginning at said ANTHONY’s NW corner, thence east into said ANTHONY’s north 

boundary 6 chains, 95 links to a stake, thence south 5 chains 34 links to a 

hornbeam, near to spring, thence west 1 chain, 95 links to a stack of rocks, 

and thence south 19 chains 66 links to a stake near a single white walnut, 

thence west 5 chains, 2 ?feet? south of a white oak, thence north 25 chains to 

the beginning, containing 13 ˝ acres.”
