Written: January 3, 1826
Recorded: September 13, 1826

 “Hiram Anthony Deed, 73 acres conveyed by PHILIP ANTHONY, registered the 13th 

September 1826. This indenture made and entered into this 3rd day of January 

1826 between PHILIP ANTHONY of the one part and Hiram Anthony [his son] of the 

other part, both of the state of Tennessee, County of Maury. Witnesseth the 

said PHILIP ANTHONY, for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred 

dollars to him in hand paid by the said Hiram Anthony:”



“Containing 73 acres beginning at a large ash tree, a small distance from the 

east bank of Globe Creek, running thence north ?116? poles, thence east 20 

poles to a white walnut, thence north 20 poles to a stake, thence east 86 poles 

to a white oak __ poles, thence south 72 poles to a stake, thence south 83 

degrees west 51 poles to a stake, thence south 6 degrees east 26 poles to a 

stake, thence 79 degrees west 60 poles to the beginning. Test Philip Davis [his 

son-in-law], John Fitzpatrick.”
