Fitzgerald's Bill Sale Executed by M. Jamerson June 23,1859 Registered Sept. 8,1859 Know all men by these presents that I Margaret Jamerson of the County of Maury & State of Tennessee for & in consideration of the sum of Eighteen hundred & fifty dollars to me in hand Paid by Pleasant Fitzgerald of the County of Maury & State aforesaid hath bargained & sold & delivered unto said Fitzgerald a negro woman by the name of Judy Ann thirty two years of age with four children, one by the name of Henryetta & one named Allen & one named Allis & a boy child not named which the said Margaret Jamerson will warrant the title unto the said Fitzgerald his heirs & assigns forever against myself my heirs & assigns & against the title of all & every person or persons whatsoever. Witness whereunto I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the twenty third day of June 1859. Witness Margaret J. R. Jacobs her mark S. J. Hastings Jamerson (seal) State of Tennessee Maury County, Personally appeared before me John B. Padgett clerk of the County Court of said County J.R. Jacobs & S. J. Hastings Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed of sale who being duly sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with Margaret Jamerson the bargainor and she acknowledges the same in their presence to be her act and deed on the day it bears date.
