Mollie Scribner is no better, but weaken. I do not think she will get well. We have had rain every day for near a week, and some verry heavy rain for corn & cotton but corn looks fine. wheat thot is not threshed. We received a letter from Mrs. Roberson a few day ago was sorry to hear that you were sick & so maney of the Tennessee folks, but the letter did not say what was the matter with you all, but I hope nothing serious. I am anxious to hear how you all are geting along. Joe, I received your Corsicana papers last week for which I am very thankful to you. Adlade Bostic was married last Sunday to a man from Switsland by the name of .....[missing] .... Joe, Geo. Whight has the west field on you old place in cotton & it is very fine & clean, and he has all the balance in corn and it looks like it was on bottom land, even on that old orchard hill side for he planted all of it, except a small spot on the west side next to the cedar cross fence above the gum spring, (that poor thicket). Our well is full of clear water but is too warm to be good to drink at this time but we bring drinking & skin it good, and then, get it out one night to cool, and you will have a pure healthy water for drinking purposes. Jane [Pane?] says that he used green pond water when he lived in Arkansas, & you must not complain at having to use branch water when you can get it by boiling & skinning. Our Lee has one tooth & is as heart as crickett. Mrs. Mary Dillahay started to Nashville this morning to be with Garys wife in ....[end- rest missing] [letter from W.E.
