Fitzgerald et al Deed Gift Executed by Pleasant Fitzgerald June 10th 1867 Registered June 21st 1867 State of Tennessee Maury County Know all men by these presents that I Pleasant Fitzgerald of the State & County aforesaid for the natural love and affection that I have for my Children & Grand children as herein mentioned I give unto them the following described tract or parcel of land situate in the State of Tennessee Maury County on the waters of Leepers Lick creek and bounder as follows. Beginning at the North West corner of Bennett Blackman's Sixty acre entry at a dogwood thence East with the North boundary of the same Sixty poles to a dogwood, thence North fifty poles to a forked beach, thence West One hundred and ten poles to a chesnut thence South one hundred poles to a small sourwood, thence East fifty poles to a beech and hickory on the West boundary of the aforesaid sixty acres, thence north with said line fifty poles to the beginning, containing fifty acres be the same more or less and being the same tract of land I purchased of Thomas Rountree. The said tract or parcel of land as above described to be equally devided as follows to David S. Fitzgerald for the benefit of his wife & children the one seventh part of said tract of land free from the debts contracts or liabilities of said David S. Fitzgerald. To Beverly A. Fitzgerald the one seventh part of said tract of land. To Frances E. Fitzgerald, wife of Garrett Fitzgerald and the children of her body the one seventh part of said tract of land, free from the debts contracts or liabilities of her present or any future husband she may hereafter have. To Margaret Ann Dodson my grand daughter the one seventh part of said tract of land free from the debts, liabilities or contracts of any husband she may hereafter have and should she die without issue the same to revert back to me or my heirs herein mentioned. To Daniel E Fitzgerald, the one seventh part of said tract of land. To Margaret E. P. Jacobs wife of Thomas H. Jacobs the one seventh part of said tract of land, to my grand daughter Fanny Fitzgerald I give the one seventh of said tract of land free from the debts or contracts or liabilities of any husband she may hereafter have and should she die without issue, the same to revert back to my heirs herein mentioned. To have and to hold the above described tract unto the said David S., Beverly A., Frances E., Margaret Ann, Fanny, Margaret E. P. & Daniel Fitzgerald, I hereby warant the title of the above described parcel of land as before mentioned with the restrictions as herein before mentioned unto the said parties of the second part being my children and grand children with the restrictions as before mentioned. I further covenant to and with said parties that I have a good right to convey said land and that the same is unincumbered. Witness my hand & seal this 10th day of June 1867. McMeen with whom I am personally acquainted who being duly sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with Pleasant Fitzgerald and that ha acknowledges that he executed the foregoing deed and for the purpose therein contained.
