Harris have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Frances Emiline Fitzgerald wife of Garrett Fitzgerald and F. C. Fitzgerald wife of W. P. Fitzgerald a tract of land in the State of Tennessee Maury County and civil District No. 17 containing by estimation Two Hundred and eighty five acres more or less on the following payments to wit: the sum of Thirty five Hundred & twenty dollars as follows: Eleven hundred and Seventy three 33/100 dollars on the 1st day of January 1887 and three notes for Seven hundred and Eighty two 22/100 dollars each due respectively on the 1st day of January 1888, 1889 and 1890 bearing interest from the 1st day of January 1887 said notes being this day executed to me. The said Frances Emeline Fitzgerald to have two-thirds and the said F. C. Fitzgerald to have one-third interest in the land herein conveyed. Said land is bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake with beech pointer in A. H. Housen's line the beginning corner of my 224 acres 2 roods and 25 poles tract and running thence with Housen's line West 34 88/100 poles to the S.E. corner of my 119 3/4 acre tract thence with the 119 3/4 acre tract North 168 poles to a Beech the beginning corner of the same thence with said tract West 116 1/2 poles to a Hickory the N.W. corner of same thence with the same South 168 poles to a pile of stones with Beech and Sugartree pointers the S.W.corner of same in Forgey's line thence continueing (S1 3/4 degrees W) 208 poles to the S.W. corner of 224 acre tract on the North bank of Duck river thence up said River to the Coleman Spring branch thence up said branch with its meanders mean course N66 1/4 degrees E 21 1/2 poles to the middle of the Coleman Spring thence N 44 1/4 degrees E 3 1/2 poles to middle of Santa Fe road 28 links S 47 degrees W from Honey Locust thence with the road S 67 1/2 degrees E 9 4/10 poles to a stake Ailanthus pointer thence leaving the road N 57 1/2 degrees E 13 poles to a set rock thence N 50 degrees E 22 poles to a stake cedar pointer thence N 14 degrees E 15 poles to a stake 20 links N 28 1/2 degrees W from beech pointer, thence S 71 1/2 degrees E 18 3/10 to a Hickory thence N 85 degrees E 21 68/100 to a set rock and ridge thence N 77 1/2 degrees E 24 poles to a stake with White Oak and Red Oak pointers on old corner of said 224 acre tract thence with same N 52 degrees E 44 poles to stake white oak and Mulberry pointer thence with same N 22 degrees E 36 poles to stake with beech pointer thence with same N 13 degrees W 96 poles to the Beginning. I warrant the title of said land and hereby retain a lien upon the same for the payment of the purchase money. This October 1st 1886. M. M.
