Blackman The 27th of June 1850 Filed July 11th 1850 at 4 1/2 Oclk P.M. This indenture made this 27th day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty between W.R.K. Blackman of the one part and Pleasant Fitzgerald of the other part both of the County of Maury and State of Tennessee witnesseth that the sd W.R.K. Blackman for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred and twelve dollars in hand paid, The receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold unto Pleasant Fitzgerald a certain piece or parcel of land lying in the county and state aforesaid on the East side of Carters creek, being part of the tract of land that decended to the heirs of Bennett Blackman at his decease and ajoining the land of The heirs of Andrew Rountree and Pleasant Fitzgerald's land, beginning at a Sycamore on the East bank of Carters Creek, running East two poles to a planted rock, Thence North one hundred and six poles to planted rock on the south boundary line of the Rountree tract, Thence west seventy one poles with Rountree's line to Pleasant Fitzgerald's North East corner boundary, Thence south nine poles to Carters Creek, Thence down the meanders of the creek to the beginning, containing twenty nine acres to have and to hold, the land hereby conveyed to the proper use and benefit of him the sd Fitzgerald his heirs ( and assigns). The title of which I do warrant and forever defend against The claims of all and any person or persons whosoever by These presents.
