Blackman July 8th 1858 Registered Mch 18, 1858 I have this day bargained & Sold & do hereby convey unto Pleasant Fitzgerald his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land lying in District No. 19 of Maury County on the waters of Carters Creek & bounded as follows, Commencing two poles east of a Sickamoor in the Center of the creek, Thence north one hundred & six poles with Fitzgerald's line to a set rock in Rountree's & Blackman's line, thence east five & a half poles with Said Rountree's & Blackman's line to a stake, thence South one hundred & eight poles & a half to the Center of the Creek, thence up the creek to the beginning Containing three & five eight acres more or less to have & to hold for the Consideration of two hundred and twenty Dollars & sixty eight Cts, to me paid in hand the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, I further Covenant with the Said Fitzgerald that I am lawfully Seized of Said land & have the right to convey the same. I also bind myself my heirs & issues or representatives to warrant & defend the title of Said land to Pleasant Fitzgerald & his heirs & assigns forever against the lawful claims of all & every person whatsoever, given under my hand & seal this 8th day of February one thousand eight hundred & fifty eight.
