Registered 20th July 1822 This indenture made and confirmed on the thirtieth day of November Eighteen hundred and Twenty, Between Abel Wilson (afd) the one parte and Pleasant Fitzgerald of the other parte, Both of the County of Maury and state of Tennessee, witneseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and twenty three dollars to the aforesaid Abel Wilson in hand payed By the aforesaid Pleasant Fitzgerald the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained Sold (enfeoffed) conveyed and confirmed and by these present do bargain sell convey and confirm unto the aforesaid Pleasant Fitzgerald a sertain piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and on the waters of Snow Creek a North Branch of Duck river. Beginning as follows- Beginning on a dogwood Running thence South twenty seven degrees west forty eight poles to a beach on a section line thence South five degrees East with Said Section one hundred and eight poles to a Beach thence East Six poles to a Stake thence north eighteen poles to a stake thence East Eighty two poles to a small Sugar tree and Stake thence North one hundred & forty two poles to an Elm thence West to the Beginning Containing by Calculation Eighty Acres and forty poles Be the same more or less To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all its appurtenances thereto to him the aforesaid Pleasant Fitzgerald forever also the Aforesaid Abel Wilson doth warrant and forever defend said piece of land from him his heirs Executors, administrators and asigns also do warrant and forever defend said land from all lawfull claim or claims whatever. Slayden State of Tennessee Maury County July Term 1821. Then the within deed of Conveyance was produced in Open Court the Execution thereof duly proven by Oath of Samuel Jack and Daniel E. Slayden, Subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be certified for registration. To testimony whereof I Joseph B.
