Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred Dollars in hand paid to the said Pleasant Fitzgerald both bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain sell and convey unto the said Thomas Fitzgerald a certain tract or parcel of land situated and lying in the state of Tennessee and county of Maury on the north side of Duck Diver on the waters of Snow Creek and bounded as follows. Beginning at a stake thence Beech pointers two poles south of a beech George Mitchell's corner running south five degrees East two hundred and one poles to a beech Thence East six poles to a stake Thence north eighteen poles to a stake Thence East eighty two poles to a stake two Beech and Lynn pointers Thence north one hundred and twenty four poles & a half poles to a dogwood Thence north forty three degrees West thirty eight poles to a stake Thence north fifty poles to a stake and pointers Thence West sixteen poles Thence south fourteen poles to a Elm Thence west seventy poles to the beginning, containing about one hundred and one acres & a half be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above described land and bargained premises with all the appertenances thereunto belonging to the only proper use and behoof of him the sd Thomas Fitzgerald his heirs and assigns forever and the sd Pleasant Fitzgerald doth promise covenant and agree to & with sd Thomas Fitzgerald his heirs and assigns that he will warrant & forever defend the above described land and premises against the claim or claims of all and every person and persons whatsoever... In testimony whereof the sd Pleasant Fitzgerald hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and date above written...
