Holmes GLOBETREKR@aol.com ==================================================================== 154 Recorded 23rd October 1823 THE STATE OF TENNESSEE ---- No. 19511 Seal To all whom these presents shall come, Greetings: KNOW YE, That by virtue of certificate No. 306 dated the 21st day of August 1809 issued by the Commission- er for West Tennessee to Benjamin McCulloch for 640 acres and entered on the 22nd day of September, 1815 by No. 8360 There is granted by the said state of Tennessee unto Henry Hall assignee of the said Benjamin McCulloch ------ A certain tract parcel of land containing seventy acres by survey bearing date the 21st day of November 1815 lying in the Second district in Maury County on the waters of Cedar Creek and bounded as follows to wit West, Beginning at a Small ash on the North West corner of a tract of land that belonged to Henry Rutherford which said tract of land said Rutherford Sold to Joseph Whitesides but made the deed to Henry Hall Running thence North thirty poles to John Hall’s corner, thence East one hundred and two poles to a horn beam in the West boundary of a 50 acre survey in the name of John Hall, thence South eight poles with said Survey to the South West corner thereof (a white oak,) thence east? with the South boundary of said survey sixty poles to an elm and ash thence South one hundred and thirty three poles to a red beech? and hackberry? thence West one hundred and eleven poles to a hickory and white oak, thence North sixty nine poles to the South boundary of a survey of said Rutherford East with survey seventy seven? poles to a black walnut the South East corner thereof, thence North with said line Sixty poles to an Elm , thence West one hundred and twenty poles binding? on Said Survey to the Beginning ----- With the hereditaments and appurtenances --- to have and to hold thesaid tract or parcel of land with it appurtenances, to the said Henry Hall and his heirs forever. --- In witness whereof William Carroll Governor of the state Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the great seal of the state affixed, at Murfreesboro, on the third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three and of the Independence of the United States, the forty seventh BY THE GOVERNOR, Daniel Graham Wm Carroll SECRETARY.
