Murphey Deed for 49 Acres Executed by Hosea Jameson December 29th 1852 Registered February 21st 1853 I Hosea Jameson have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to William B. Murphey and his heirs forever for the consideration of one hundred and ninety eight dollars & forty five cents to me paid a tract of land in the state of TenneSsee Maury County district No. 4- containing by estimation Forty nine acres & 98 poles be the same more or leSs and bounded as follows- & Beginning at a Poplar Mcnights original corner thence west 16 poles to a white oak- thence south with Watsons. West bounding seventy two poles toa rock with Hickory, cedar & Innirrod pointing thence west thirty eight and a half poles to a rock thence North sixty two & one half poles to a Hickory at the Barn. Thence North 10 [degrees] west ninety four poles to a rock with 2 Hickories & cedar pointers on Wall's south boundary thence East paSsing Howards S.W. corner at 5 poplars and with his line in all 68 1/2 poles to a stake with a cedar pointer Howards S.E. corner an Branch west bounding this South with his line Eighty three poles & 14 links to the beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said William B. Murphey his heirs and assignees forever- I do covenant with the said William B. Murphey that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unincumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land; and every part thereof to the said William B.
