SATURDAY AUGUST 26,1854 COLUMBIA,TENNESSEE A DREADFUL RIOT--is reported to have taken place at Adairsville, Georgia,last Saturday night.The Altanta Republican states that JAMES BLACKWELL,Marshall was shot and instantly killed; Deputy MARSHELL HILBURNE was severly cut on his head,SAMUEL DOBBS,freight engineer on the railroad was shot in the forehead,but the ball fortunately glanced; and (entire line faded) MR.ELY,a fireman was thought to be fatally wounded.No other particulars were given other than the fight commenced among the employees of the railroad. COLUMBIA HOUSE--Columbia,Tennessee.January 28,1854.PLEASANT NELSON, Proprietor.The undersigned having recently purchased this well-known Tavern,etc.Give the Proprieter one trial,and judge for yourselves in the future.
