EXECUOTRS SALE--On Thursday,the 6th of September next,we will sell at Auction ,at the late residence of MRS.RUTH WILLIAMS, deceased,4 miles South-West of Columbia,the Negroes,some 24 in number,belonging to the estate of GEN.S.H.WILLIAMS and MRS.RUTH WILLIAMS,deceased.Also one yoke of Oxen,an Ox Wagon (new),4 work Mules,2 Milch Cows and Calves,about 90 acres of the growing crop of corn in the field,40 or 50 acres of Cotton,Fodder,Hay,Oats, Cotton-gin,Thrasher,and sundry implantements of husbandry.Terms, a credit of 8 months,the notes for the negroes will be payable in Bank notes with good endorsers.JOHN L.SMITH.JAMES JONES. VALUABLE REAL ESTATE FOR SALE--The subscriber being desious to remove more of his effective force to his plantation in Arkansas, would sell at private sale a part of his land,situated in the neighborhood of Spring Hill,Maury County,and in view of the Turnpike road leading to Nashville.Or,he would dispose of the entire tract in the event of being able to procure a smaller interest,nearest to his residence in the vicinity of Columbia. Its healthfulness is proverbial.Out of a large family of Blacks, I do not recollect a single case of Bilious or Intermittent fever during the twelve years,which I have occupied it.There is plenty of water and a due proportion of cleared and wooded land,etc. Maury County.August 2,1849.
