On motion of Complainant's attorney,and it appearing to the Clerk and Master that LEVIN GRAY, GEORGE W.GRAY, MARTHA GRAY, MARGARET GRAY, SARAH JONES (formerly SARAH GRAY),wife of ____JONES, LEVIN V.GRAY, heirs of MATTHEW GRAY,deceased,and defendents named in said Petition, are non-residents of the State of Tennessee,and that process in this cause cannot be served upon them,etc.The Petition alleges that MATTHEW GRAY departed this life intestate,some time in the month of February 1849,in Maury County,Tenn.,leaving petitioner,ELIZA K.GRAY,without leaving issue,seixed and possessed of a certain tract of land,lying in Maury County,Tenn.,on the waters of little Bigby creek,and containing 220 acres,out of which she prays to have a dower assigned her. OFFICE OF CHANCERY COURT AUGUST RULES 1849.-- SAMUEL N.WILLIAMS vs JAMES R.WILLIAMS and others.In the above cause it appearing that the defendents,DAVID G.GOODLOE, ALBERT T.GOODLOE, HENRY WORTHAM, WINEFORD WORTHAM,and RUSH WORTHAM are non-residents of the State of Tennessee, and that process in this cause cannot be served upon them,etc.August 9, 1849. LAND FOR SALE--On the first day of November,1849 at the late residence of BENJAMIN THOMAS,I will sell to the highest bidder,on a credit of one, two,and three years,the last payment bearing interest from the maturity of the first note,the tract of land owned by BENJAMIN THOMAS,in his lifetime,lying about three miles South of Columbia,on the old Pulaski road.Said Land is finely improved,has on it an excellant brick dwelling house,is well watered and timbered,and contains 222 acres.etc. August 9, 1849.A.W.THOMAS,Exec'r of BENJ.THOMAS,dec'd. ***************
