DECISION IN THE TELEGRAPH CASE--Judge CRANCH of the Circuit Court 
of the District of Columbia,who has the power to reverse the 
decision of the Commissioners of Patents,has decided that both PROF.
MORSE & MR.BAIN are entitled to patents for the Telegraphs 
which they have invented.

MARRIAGES IN MAURY COUNTY--on the 23d inst.,MR.JAMES RAIL to MISS 
NANCY VICTORY. On the 25th,MR.JOHN G.STEPHENSON to MISS LUCINDA 
ROGERS. On the 27th,MR.STANFORD E.GIBSON to MISS ZILPHA J.GRIMES. 
Same day,MR.MacDONALD D.SMALL of Franklin College,Davidson County,
to MRS.MARTHA G.ARRINGTON. On the 28th,MR.JOHN H.WYATT to MISS 
MARY E.BRANDON.
